Though i generally expect attribution for my sounds, almost every aspect of this sound was the product of dpren's superb "scifi gun - mega charge cannon". My only contribution was adding a bit more oomph to when the gun fires so it feels wrong to take any credit for their genius. Used as part of an old time radio show live production. . . I used two toy ray guns and fired them at close range and distant range. . . Various rates of firing. . . As if in a "space patrol" ray-gun battle with aliens. . . 48 khz at 16 bit - using sony mini-disc recorder 2009 - interior.

I made this laser sound in ableton live. I needed to make something that resembled a large space cannon, or something of the sort.

I just squeezed a rubber bath toy mermaid and lowered the speed. The last voop the duplicated whoosh sound after the first voop but amplified and higher pitch. So yeah. It kind of sounds like a laser being shot or something.

Used audacity to make a chirp sound, i think it's sine-sawtooth. Pretty easy thing. Nothing to lose from it being mp3. It's a pretty dirtily made sound.

This sound was recorded from me and i edited it by using audacity. I was trying to make a shooting noise but it went a little wrong, but i think it sounds cool so why not upload it to my favourite sound effect page?.

It sounds like a cartoon alien shooting.

This is a sound of a alien rail gun i created using synthesis, and recording door slam adding reverb and eq and other audio processing techniques.

This is from a recording session trying to create laser weapon sounds. I just used the same technique as ben burtt used in wall-e (with the slinky and the contact mic). This is unprocessed, no eqs, compression, reverb or anything was added. I used a long piece of curled up aluminum wire which i hung from a tall structure at my house and the main object i used to oscillate the wire was a drum stick. For the recording i used the blue icicle and recorded into reaper. The contact mic is my own creation from a diy i found online (roughly €5 to make). Another of the recordings i did on my phone at work of a steel cable at tension between phone poles. Hitting it with a wrench and making laser sounds. Cleaned up in audacity as the other one was. One is better than the other but can't remember which one i liked the best. Use as you please. If you use it for something and have the time to tell me where it ended up, that's cool. Either way, enjoy.

File i recorded while at work on a telephone pole. I found a span of the steel cable they string between the poles that hold phone lines or cable lines. But this was just the bare span and nothing touching it. If you hit them with a wrench they make weird laser gun sounds. Recorded with my phone and cleaned up a bit in audacity. Use as you please. A pretty cheesy laser gun sound, created and manipulated from a zipper and sticky-tape and something else - i forget.

These are a series of gunshots that are supposed to resemble a laser sort of weapon, like an alien weapon. To make this, i used a filter that has a vocoder, polyvox, and talkbox, with distortion added. The initial sound i'm making is a chirping with my mouth and the filter does the rest. I think this works well on its own but it should work well mixed in with another sound effect if you choose to mix it. There is no reverb added or environment effects so its very flexible. Feel free to use it however you like. Credit is appreciated but not necessary. If you do want to give credit, please give credit to cooljunk productions. Thank you.
